Fine Side-lined Ctenotus

Narrow-lined Ctenotus, Chief Ctenotus


These skinks and some of the other Ctenotus species are remarkably similar to the Aspidoscelis lizards of the Americas. Both are twitchy striped pointy-nosed ground-dwelling speedsters that are constantly moving around in search of their insect prey.
