Dendropsophus reticulatus
—
Reticulate Swampfrog
Also known as:
Reticulate Tree Frog
This species is quite variable in dorsal appearance. Sometimes the back is plain, sometimes it has a single large-ish oval or rounded stripe starting on the back of the head, and sometimes it has many spots on the back and some more on the sides. This one individual that I saw was perched high enough that I will never know what its back looked like. Fortunately the sharp delineation between a yellow-based back and a gray side, and the reddish toes are enough to identify this frog as Dendropsophus reticulatus.
