Lepidophyma flavimaculatum Tropical Night Lizard
Some other names for this species:
Yellow-spotted Night Lizard
Esquinas Rainforest Lodge, Golfito region, Puntarenas province, Costa RicaSeptember 28, 2001
This odd little lizard resided in the wall of the Esquinas Lodge bar. At night it would sneak out of a corner hole and prowl for insects drawn by a light. I saw it sticking its head out, but it didn't stay out long enough for a picture.

This lizard was identified by herpetologist Bill Lamar of GreenTracks. Here is a complete list of the species we found on this GreenTracks trip.
