Pristimantis calcarulatus
—
Spurred Rainfrog
Also known as:
Small-Calcar Rainfrog
In frog lingo, a "calcar" is a pointy protrusion on the heel, approximately where the spur would be if the frog were a cowboy (which the frog is not). This species has unimpressively small calcars compared to various other frogs in the general region, but I guess it impressed the person who named the species.
