Pristimantis crenunguis
—
Spring Rainfrog
Also known as:
Giant Rainfrog, Spring Robber Frog
The bumpy skin and W-shaped scapular ridges help identify this as Pristimantis crenunguis. There are no doubt at least a few other Pristimantis species with these characteristics, perhaps dozens of others, but narrowing it down by location helps a lot. Also, my knowledgeable guide Frank Pichardo told me it was this species, and I believe him.
