This frog was identified by my frog expert guide Amanda Quezada, who has an uncanny ability to tell small brown Pristimantis species apart. This species seems to have a small range and isn't found very often. Amphibians of Ecuador says: “Pristimantis miltongallardoi is herein categorized as Data Deficient because almost nothing is known about this frog.”
