We stopped at the entrance station of this park to check out whether any of these geckos happened to be around. And indeed they did! These are one of the largest and easily the most beautiful of all the many Phelsuma species.

We saw many of these marvelous geckos on this trip, but almost all of them were on man-made surfaces. This gecko is one of the few exceptions, using the meeting point of two massively bulbous Pachypodium branches as its hideaway.
