Thamnophis radix — Plains Gartersnake
This is not a particularly exciting sort of gartersnake, but at least it is easy to tell apart from the other gartersnakes in this same spot.
This was one of the largest garter snakes I've ever seen, patrolling the bank of the Little Missouri river.
