Calumma emelinae
—
Angozongahy Nosed Chameleon
This species was split out from Calumma nasutum in 2020.

Here's one of the relatively few Calumma chamaleons that we saw during the day. The relatively small silly nose bump on this one identifies it as a female. This was identified as C. emelinae after the split from C. nasutum by chameleon expert Chris Anderson.

That night we saw a male, with its somewhat more protuberant proboscis. This was identified as C. emelinae by chameleon expert Chris Anderson.
